The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office has released the identities of the two people found dead earlier this week.
Sheriff Dan Hartwig has reported that deputies were sent to a residence in the 17000 block of Nero Road in the Town of Two Creeks just after 10:00 Tuesday morning for a welfare check.
Concerns were raised regarding a prolonged loss of electrical power and lack of contact with the occupants.
Deputies arrived to find the brother and sister duo of 82-year-old Kenneth Kroll and 75-year-old Sandra Kroll dead inside the home.
Autopsies have been conducted, with the results expected in several weeks, but there is no evidence of foul play at this time.
The investigation remains ongoing pending the receipt of the medical examiner’s findings.
Sheriff Hartwig is also reminding residents to “regularly check on elderly family members, neighbors, and loved ones, especially during winter months or periods of extreme weather. Prompt welfare checks and staying connected can help ensure the safety and well-being of those who may be isolated.”
Anyone with information related to this incident is encouraged to contact the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office at (920) 683-4201 or use the P3 Tips app.
