Nominations are now available for three seats on a Wisconsin DATCP board.
The Potato Industry Board will accept nominations for potato growers in Districts 1, 2, and 3, with Manitowoc, Calumet, and Sheboygan counties in District 3.
Each nomination must include signatures of at least five eligible potato growers, other than the nominee, from the district in which the nominee is running for office.
Complete forms must be postmarked on or before March 27th and mailed to the Wisconsin DATCP at their Madison Office.
The nine-member board is responsible for collecting and allocating over $2 million in annual assessment fees paid by Wisconsin potato farmers.
The money is used to support the industry through research, market development, and consumer education.
The election of nominees for the Wisconsin Potato Industry Board will be held from May 11th to June 15th of this year.
Elected board members will serve from July 1st of this year until June 30th of 2029.
