Emplify Health by Bellin Green Bay Hospital is looking to help newborn babies get a head start on their educational journey.
Thanks to a generous donation from the Mike and Leanne Haddad Family Foundation, newborns and their families can start their new journey with a special selection of gifted books.
Each Books for Babies package is carefully designed with two books for babies, including Nancy Tillman’s book, “On the Night You Were Born” (available in English and Spanish).
It also has a baby faces book that is perfect for babies as they begin to recognize simple shapes.
Within the package is also a gift for parents.
A journal is provided, along with gentle prompts to encourage parents to write down their thoughts and feelings.
Molly Vandervest, President of The Bellin Health Foundation, calls the program “a great opportunity to start building bonds and encouraging literacy early on.”
