The Kewaunee County Historical Society will be highlighting a local author later this month.
Kewaunee County native Susan Levitte will present a keynote talk followed by a book-signing event on Saturday, February 28th, at the facility located at 217 Eliis Street in Kewaunee.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with Levitte’s debut novel, “Secrets in the Woods,” which knits together newspaper accounts and family histories to tell the story of how the fires of 1871 shaped the Kewaunee County people and landscape.
Levitte is an amateur genealogist and history buff who felt compelled to tell the story of the fires on the east side of the Bay of Green Bay.
The event will feature a Q&A session with Levitte and a book signing.
