A Madison teenager is dead after being hit by a car.
It happened yesterday morning on South Park Street while the 17-year-old was on their way to school.
First responders arrived and took the teen to the hospital for life-threatening injuries, but they were later pronounced dead.
It’s unclear if the driver remained at the scene after the collision.
A portion of South Park Street was shut down in both directions for several hours while police investigated.
