The Sheboygan Area School District is looking to prepare young students and their families for their first year of school.
SASD will be hosting an open house at the Early Learning Center on Tuesday (February 10th) from 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
The Early Learning Center is home to the district’s flagship 4K program and has served the area for more than 30 years.
During the open house, families will be greeted by staff at the door, tour the learning spaces, and have questions answered regarding what children can expect during the first classroom experiences.
Regarding what the 4K experience means to children, the district said, “Through hands-on activities and guided play, students begin building essential skills in language development, social interaction, and early academics—laying the foundation for a successful educational journey in SASD.”
At the Early Learning Center, 4K is offered as half-day classes, five days a week, with morning and afternoon classes available.
Those already prepared to enroll their children in 4K can do so by filling out an enrollment form, which can be found online at elc.sheboygan.k12.wi.us.
