A nonprofit in the Sheboygan area is bringing back an annual fundraiser aimed at promoting childhood literacy in the community.
The Family Resource Center of Sheboygan County will be hosting its 3rd annual Spelling Bee Fundraiser on April 16th at Bleu Harbor Resort on the shores of Lake Michigan.
The event will kick off with a networking and cocktail hour at 5:00 p.m., dinner at 6:00 p.m., followed by the much-anticipated spelling bee at 6:30 p.m.
After dinner, teams of two adults will face off in a Scripps-style spelling contest, with words increasing in difficulty until a winner is crowned.
All proceeds raised during the event will directly benefit the Family Resource Center’s programs, including the Literary Council, Parents as Teachers, and Workplace Literacy.
