It was a monster offensive night for the Manitowoc Lincoln girls’ basketball team.
The Ships came out of the gate firing last night, taking down Sheboygan South 80-34.
The three-ball was working all night long, with the Ships draining 16 on the night, 10 of which came in the first half alone to take a 52-20 lead into the break.
Things cooled off in the second half, but the Ships continued to play a disciplined game, only allowing the Redwings to take four free throws.
Hannah Conard led the way for Lincoln with a game-high 19 points, including six three-pointers, while Calla Eichmann and Kendall Schmitz each added 16.
Taylor Peterson also had a great night, tacking on 10 points. The Redwings were led by Taylor Gahagan, who netted 10 points.
With the win, Manitowoc Lincoln improves to 8-10 on the season and will try to build on a two-game win streak at home against Notre Dame on Friday.
Sheboygan South, meanwhile, falls to 7-13, and will try to end a 7-game losing streak at home against West Bend West next Tuesday.
