Two of the top girls basketball teams in the Northeast Conference meet in Denmark tonight.
The 15-2 Vikings play host to the 14-2 Little Chute Mustangs.
Denmark sits atop the conference at 9-1, a game and a half clear of the visiting Mustangs. They are a solid team led by junior Allle VanVonderen, who averages nearly 15 points per game. Senior Page Vogel is the only other player above double-figure scoring at 10.4 points per game, but they get solid contributions from everyone up and down the roster that has been the difference in a lot of highly contested games this season.
Little Chute’s future is only going to get brighter. They are a 14-2 basketball team with five freshmen who figure prominently in their success, led by Hattie Grishaber and Lauren Vosters, who average 15.5 and 15 points per game, respectively.
The scheduled tip-off in Demark is 7:15 p.m.
