A Fond du Lac woman has been officially charged in the death of her 12-year-old son last month.
51-year-old Tina Beauprey was in court on Monday, where she was charged with Neglecting a Child, Consequence is Death.
According to NBC26, her son was reported to have been battling muscular dystrophy and was placed in foster care in May of 2024.
At the time, he was said to only weigh 80 pounds, but was still placed back with his mother in November of that year.
Roughly a month later, the criminal complaint alleges he weighed less than 70 pounds, leading to even more health complications.
On December 5th, Beauprey took the child to a hospital, where the hospital staff declared him dead.
Unopened heart medication was reportedly found inside Beauprey’s home, which he was prescribed to take every day.
Beauprey is being held on a $500,000 cash bail and is due back in court on March 17th for her preliminary hearing.
