The headliner for an annual Manitowoc music festival has been announced.
Sandy Landreth will take the stage at Washington Park on Saturday, June 20th, at 8:30 p.m. for the 2026 Metro Jam, presented by WOMT 100.
Landreth is a blues musician who has performed live with Buddy Guy and John Hiatt in theaters across the U.S., and has also post-New Orleans Jazz Fest jammed on bayou rhythms with Oteil Burbridge.
He also tours regularly with fellow slide guitarist Cindy Cashdollar. Landreth has also been recognized by artists like Eric Clapton, who called him the “most underrated, but also one of the most advanced.”
Talking about his music, Landreth says he loves to collaborate with other artists because of the element of surprise, explaining, “When the chemistry is there, it’s always inspiring to find new twists and turns that up the game creatively.”
The 47th Annual Metro Jam gets underway on Friday, June 19th, and will begin with Jim and Rick Show, Live from Metro Jam.
They will be followed by a full spectrum of musical styles, including jazz, blues, reggae, ska, classic rock, and more.
