The Wade House’s Timeless Tales Speaker Series will kick off this weekend in Sheboygan County.
This year, the Wade House will be celebrating both authors and historians while inviting the public to engage in lively and thought-provoking discussions regarding history in the county and throughout Wisconsin.
The first of three scheduled events will take place tomorrow (January 31st) from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., entitled The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald: The Ship, the Storm, and the Song.
This discussion will be led by UW-Madison emeritus professor Steve Ackerman, who will explore the historic wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald from perspectives of the harsh weather conditions, the ship itself, and the famous song by Gordon Lightfoot.
Admission to the event will cost $8 for adults, $6 for seniors, and kids between 12 and 5, while those under 5-years-old will be free.
The second and third installments of the Timeless Tales Speaker Series will be held on February 21st and March 14th, respectively.
Tickets to tomorrow’s discussion on the Edmund Fitzgerald and the upcoming two events can be purchased online at wadehouse.org.
