A Pennsylvania-based company is shutting down a facility in Milwaukee.
Tekni-Plex has announced plans to close by the end of April, and employees will begin separating from the medical and packaging company towards the end of March.
A letter sent to state and local leaders noted that 39 workers will be impacted by the move.
The letter also mentioned that more senior employees may have “bumping rights” over more junior employees, meaning the junior employees would be bumped from their positions.
Those employees would be terminated and eligible for severance when separation begins.
