Numerous student-athletes from Northeastern Wisconsin have benefited from the charitable giving of a Green Bay Packers player.
For the second year in a row, Packers quarterback Jordan Love has donated thousands of cleats to area schools through his 10ve for Cleats campaign.
Before the season, Love pledged that for every touchdown he scored, he would donate cleats to the same number of schools in Wisconsin and his home state of California.
This past season, Love accounted for 23 touchdowns, meaning 46 schools would receive donations.
In our area, teams to receive donations included the Random Lake/Ozaukee girls’ soccer team as well as the New Holstein football team.
Additional Northeastern Wisconsin teams selected include Green Bay Southwest football, Green Bay West boys soccer, Appleton West girls softball, and Appleton North girls flag football.
Each of these selected schools was required to submit applications in order for the chance to be picked.
The nearly 2,000 pairs of cleats donated were made possible through the Green Bay Packers quarterback’s Hands of 10ve Foundation.
