A multi-county high-speed chase has landed a Green Bay woman in jail.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed at around 2:15 Wednesday morning, and located the vehicle exiting I-41 south onto State Highway 26 in Winnebago County.
The vehicle was clocked at 130 MPH in a 55 MPH zone, and a chase ensued.
Tire deflation devices were successfully deployed near Highway TC, causing the vehicle to come to a stop.
However, the driver attempted to flee again, but the damage to the tires significantly reduced its speed. Law enforcement was eventually able to box the vehicle in, bringing an end to the 13-mile chase.
The 28-year-old Green Bay woman continued to be non-compliant and refused to exit the vehicle.
Deputies had to break the driver’s side window and deploy a taser to bring the woman under arrest.
The driver, whose name was not released, was booked into the Fond du Lac County Jail on charges of Fleeing or Eluding, 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, and Resisting or Obstructing an Officer.
She was also cited for speeding.
