
One week after setting a new four-year low, gas prices in Eastern Wisconsin are back on the rise.
Manitowoc County has seen a nine-cent per gallon jump at the pump since this time last week, coming in at an average of $2.56 according to the AAA Gas Price website.
This is the highest Manitowoc County’s price has been since the third week of December.
Sheboygan County, meanwhile, saw a modest four-cent bump to $2.44 while Calumet County’s average is up a dime to $2.60.
Outagamie County motorists are paying eleven cents more per gallon at the pump, with an average of $2.54, while Kewaunee County reported a seven-cent bump to $2.54.
Brown and Door Counties are tied for the largest jump this week, each rising thirteen cents to $2.56 and $2.64 per gallon, respectively.
The state average is up seven cents to $2.54, while the national average jumped a nickel to $2.88.
Since we started tracking the local gas prices in 2021, there has been a significant increase in the county averages every January, which has tended to level off around March.
