The Wisconsin DNR reminds residents about upcoming fisheries management meetings.
Staff will host a second meeting today at the Green Bay DNR Service Center from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sam Schiack, Jason Lins, and DNR Fisheries Biologist Jessica Brandt will join two other presenters to discuss the Lower Green Bay and seven miles of the Fox River as areas of concern identified by the U.S. EPA.
After toxic sediment cleanup, various projects were planned to improve habitat for fish, including musky, walleye, yellow perch, and others.
Members of the DNR will talk about the history of the Area of Concern, upcoming projects, and the group’s fisheries monitoring program.
For those who can’t attend in person, the meeting will be streamed on Microsoft Teams.
