A Menasha man who set his girlfriend’s duplex on fire has been sentenced.
62-year-old Michael Perez pleaded guilty to charges of Arson of a Building without the Owner’s Consent, and 1st Degree Reckless Injury, and was ordered by Fond du Lac County Judge Anthony Nehls to spend 20 years in prison followed by 10 years of extended supervision.
Four additional charges of Criminal Damage to Property and one count of Mistreatment of Animals Causing Death were dismissed but read into the record.
Perez was arrested after security camera footage was found, depicting him setting the residence on fire in September of 2024.
