The Clipper City Chordsmen have named their 2025 Barbershopper of the Year (BOTY).
Peter Lewellen was awarded the honor at the group’s annual banquet for going above and beyond expectations and benefiting the entire chapter.
Previous BOTY winner Anthony Schreiter says Peter has “shown strength as Vice President and leader of the Music Team and as a board member throughout the year. In addition to singing with the chorus, Peter also performed in the community and at our shows with the BarberPops Quartet.”
The Clipper City Chordsmen also handed out their Spark Plug award to Andy Eisner and Paul Blair.
These two men were recognized for helping the chorus President throughout the year.
This year’s Rooking of the Year for the chordsmen went to Casteel Kohlmann, who joined the group in the spring last year.
There’s also a new slate of Officers installed by the District Director of Chapter Support and Development, Jim Rasmus.
New officers for 2026 include Bill Fricke as President, Secretary Jon Cisewski, Gary Neustadter as Treasurer, and Don Lewellen as Vice President of Music and Performance.
Their banquet was held at Branch Station in Whitelaw on Sunday, January 18th.
