A Fond du Lac woman charged with breaking a baby’s arm out of frustration has been bound over for trial.
FOX11 reports that 32-year-old Ashley Karschnick pleaded not guilty on a charge of child abuse after law enforcement says the injury to the 3-month-old was discovered when the baby was picked up from day care.
The victim was taken to a Fond du Lac hospital before being taken to a Milwaukee hospital for further treatment.
A criminal complaint alleges that the video shows Karschnick picking up the baby and throwing it down into the crib, causing the child’s arm to be broken.
The 32-year-old denied hurting the child. A medical report states that a “humerus fracture is consistent with inflicted trauma and child physical abuse.”
Karschnick will return to court on April 13th for a status conference.
