Two City of Manitowoc groups are closed today.
Director of Public Infrastructure Dan Koski tells Seehafernews.com that the Lincoln Park Zoo will be closed today due to extremely cold temperatures and dangerous wind chills forecast.
The department also reminds everyone that frostbite and hypothermia can develop on exposed skin in minutes.
The zoo is expected to be open during its normal hours, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., tomorrow (January 24th); however, many animals are likely to remain in their indoor enclosures.
The Manitowoc Senior Center will also not be open today. Activities, including winter walking and pickleball, are also canceled due to the weather.
