One person is hospitalized after a fire broke out at a Janesville home earlier this week.
The fire started on the first floor of a three-unit residence near Ravine Street. Officials say one person suffered burn injuries but managed to escape before emergency crews arrived.
Firefighters later used a ladder to rescue two people from the second floor and were also able to safely remove several cats from the building.
Six residents were displaced by the fire, though crews were able to contain the damage to a single unit.
