The Fond du Lac Police Department helped save someone after a crash.
Officers were called to the 200 block of 6th Street, east of South Park Avenue, at 9:20 a.m. yesterday morning (January 19th) for a report of a single-vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, Fond du Lac Police found a vehicle that had hit a tree, with preliminary investigations showing the vehicle was traveling eastbound on 6th Street and had just crossed South Park Avenue when the crash occurred.
The driver, a 30-year-old Fond du Lac man, was found unconscious and not breathing. Officers immediately began CPR and continued life-saving efforts until the Fond du Lac Fire Rescue arrived and took over.
The driver was stabilized and taken to a local hospital, where he continued to receive treatment.
Preliminary investigations show that the 30-year-old might have had a medical emergency prior to the accident.
No other vehicle was involved in the crash, and Fond du Lac Police are still investigating the incident.
