There is one meeting happening today in the City of Manitowoc.
The Common Council will meet at 6:00 p.m. in council chambers, where City Clerk Mackenzie Reed will give the oath of office to four firefighters before a presentation of the 2025 Lakeshore Holiday Parade Awards.
The council will also hold two public hearings regarding a Brownfield Cleanup Grant Application.
After the public has time to comment, the council will approve a new water cross event for Manitowoc before adopting a resolution for the Silver Creek Stream Restoration Project.
They will then apply for two grants from the T-Mobile Hometown Grant Program and the WIDNR Surface Wetland Surcharge Grant Program before finishing the evening with a vote on an agreement between the City of Manitowoc and Simply Paddle, which wants to operate a self-service kayak program.
