The City of Manitowoc looks to be bringing a new event to Lake Michigan.
City documents show that an organization called 2 Wicked Promotions wants to host the 2026 Great Lakes Watercross Season Championship at Red Arrow Park.
The event would include professional and amateur personal watercraft racing.
It would be the final stop of the 2026 regional circuit and will feature a “closed-course” buoy racing and freestyle skill showcase.
The Great Lakes Watercross Championship would be designed as a family-friendly, community-focused beach festival with spectators watching from Red Arrow Beach to watch athletes compete in various classes based on age and machine type.
2 Wicked Promotions would also aim to highlight Manitowoc’s beautiful waterfront while promoting safe, competitive boating maneuvers in a controlled environment.
The council could approve the Special Events Committee proposal at tonight’s meeting.
