A Juneau County animal shelter is working to make room for veterinary patients after taking in a large number of animals.
Shelter from the Storm Animal Rescue reports it accepted 50 animals last week following a call from the sheriff’s office regarding dogs found on short leashes.
Authorities ultimately discovered 45 cats, four dogs, and one rabbit, all of which were brought to the shelter’s veterinary clinic.
The shelter hoped to place the animals elsewhere by last night to free up space for other patients.
However, it remains unclear whether that goal was achieved.
