A Salem Lakes firefighter sustained minor injuries after falling through a floor while responding to a house fire.
Fire Chief Al Carr says the firefighter fell into the basement of a home on Rock Lake Road while crews were battling the fire Thursday.
Carr noted it was the first mayday call he had experienced in his 40 years of service.
The firefighter was taken to the hospital, treated, and later released.
At last word, the firefighter is expected to make a full recovery>.
