
Two of the top-ranked teams in high school girls’ basketball battle tonight in Fox Crossing.
Undefeated Oostburg, the top-ranked team in Division Three, travels to the Fox Valley to tangle with the undefeated Zephyrs of St. Mary Catholic, the state’s top-ranked team in Division Four.
The Lady Flying Dutch are led by the Ketterhagen sisters, where seniors Ady and Riley average a better than combined 30 points per game, while sophomore Kensley Ketterhagen scores the ball at nearly 16 points per game. The Flying Dutch score better than 70 points per game, while allowing just under 38 points per contest. Their defence also creates multiple extra opportunities to score as they average nearly 17 steals per game.
St. Mary Catholic also has a very deep and talented team led by junior Autumn Crowe. She averages 21-and-a-half points per game and shoots better than 55% from the field. This includes nearly 39% from three-point range, and she knocks down 78.5% of her free throws. Junior Lucy Nackers scores better than 12 points per contest, with sophomore Gabby Guerreo averaging more than 10 points per game.
The tip-off is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
Another great matchup in the Big East takes place at Lancer Circle as 12 and 2 Manitowoc Lutheran plays host to 10 and 2 Kohler.
The Lancers, ranked fourth in Division Four, rely on the swarming 1-3-1 zone defence to force tempo and create turnovers that lead to easy baskets. Senior Makiah Krause leads the Lancers in scoring, just shy of 18 points per game. Senior Marissa Melhorn scores 13.5 points and grabs eight-and-a-half rebounds per game, with several others chipping in major contributions leading to team success. Senior Lily Melhorn dishes out 4 assists per game, senior Abby Behnke grabs 7 and a half boards per game, and Head Coach Mike Behnke is not afraid to go 9 or 10 keep keeping players fresh.
The Kohler Blue Bombers are 5 and 1 in The Big East South and 10 and 2 overall, and are led by one of the most talented overall players in the conference, in sophomore Gwen Elliot. She averages nearly 26 points per game on 59% shooting and better than 40% from three-point range.

Other girls’ hoops games tonight include Manitowoc Lincoln travelling to West De Pere, Roncalli looking to win their second straight as they host Chilton, Two Rivers heads to Sheboygan Falls, and Mishicot looks to win their sixth of their last seven games as they host Cedar Grove-Belgium.
Elsewhere, Reedsville is home for Sheboygan Christian, Brillion heads to Kiel to take on the EWC leading Raiders, Sheboygan North is at Ashwaubenon, Bay Port entertains Green Bay Preble, Green Bay East is home for New London, De Pere visits Pulaski, Oconto travels to Sturgeon Bay, and Sevastopol hosts the Rebels of Wabeno/Laona.
