The Humane Society of Sheboygan County is looking to help prevent lost pets from staying lost.
The animal shelter has shared that they have joined forces with Petco Love’s Petco Love Lost program.
Petco Love is a national nonprofit aimed at reuniting lost pets with their families.
The Petco Love Lost program is a free, easy-to-use tool that uses AI-powered photo matching to compare images of lost and found pets across shelters, Nextdoor, Neighbors by Ring, and other sources.
The program is accessible to both animal shelters and the general public, allowing those who have lost their furry or not-so-furry friends to upload an image and instantly search the database to see if they’ve been found.
Sheboygan County’s Humane Society’s website now features a scrollable list of animals that came into their shelters as strays, plus an interactive map showing lost and found reports, shelter pets, and much more.
Those looking to upload a photo of a pet to the Petco Love Lost program can do so by visiting petcolove.org.
