A trial is underway for the Milwaukee man accused of locking six kids in a storage unit.
A jury was sworn in yesterday in the trial of Charles Dupriest, which was followed by opening statements.
The 33-year-old is facing eight counts of child neglect after being accused of locking his children in the storage unit with no lights.
The kids were also allegedly forced to use a bucket as a means of going to the bathroom.
The defense argued Dupriest was forced into the situation due to poverty, while prosecutors said it could’ve been avoided.
