The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a serious crash near the Village of Campbellsport.
Sheriff’s deputies received an automatic crash notification on County Highway W near Industrial Park Way on Sunday (January 11th) just after 9:20 p.m.
The investigation determined that a passenger vehicle was driving northbound on County Highway W and failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, traveled down an embankment, and hit a tree.
The 21-year-old female driver from West Bend sustained serious injuries and was taken via Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.
Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash, and the woman was not wearing a seat belt.
