A woman charged with poisoning a salad in Manitowoc has been convicted.
Court records show that 31-year-old Kaseyann Loiselle entered a no-contest plea to a charge of placing foreign objects in edibles during her latest court appearance on Wednesday (January 7th).
A second count of misdemeanor bail jumping was dismissed but read into the record.
She will return to court on March 24th for sentencing.
A Manitowoc detective heard a phone call from Loiselle during which she admitted she didn’t want the victim to die and that she messed up.
Manitowoc Police explain that they learned the 31-year-old put drugs, potentially insulin and sleeping drugs, onto the salad, which caused the victim to be taken to a local hospital.
Loiselle also claimed the poisoning was planned with a male co-conspirator, who denied any involvement.
