A city and a village in Manitowoc County will receive state assistance through the Clean Water Fund Program.
Governor Tony Evers announced yesterday (January 8th) that $484 million has been allocated to 82 municipalities across the state to improve wastewater and stormwater infrastructure.
The City of Two Rivers will get about $2.3 million in loan assistance for rehabbing sanitary sewers on various streets and replacing other sanitary sewer laterals.
The Village of Reedsville will receive about $2.8 million in Clean Water Funds for updating its wastewater treatment plant’s entire treatment train.
The Clean Water Fund Program provides affordable financial assistance to municipalities throughout the state for wastewater and water quality-related stormwater infrastructure projects that improve public health and water quality for current and future generations.
The program began in 1991 and has provided over $6.5 billion in financial assistance to date.
