A man convicted on multiple child sexual abuse charges is set to reside in Fond du Lac.
The Fond du Lac Police Department reports that 42-year-old Daniel J. Kempfert was previously convicted on charges of Causing a Child to View or Listen to Sexual Activity, and Repeated 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of the Same Child, and was released from prison on October 19th.
He has since moved from temporary housing on Thomas Street to the 100 block of 3rd Street.
Kempfert is not wanted by the police at this time as he has served his sentence as imposed by the courts.
He will be on extended supervision through October 19th of 2031, during which time he is not allowed to have unsupervised contact with the victim, and not consume any drugs.
He must also comply with the sex offender registry rules and make face-to-face contact with law enforcement on a regular basis.
Fond du Lac Chief of Police Aaron Goldstein noted in the announcement, “Any use of this information to threaten, intimidate, or harass (Kempfert) will not be tolerated.”
