A gas station in Wrightstown was hit by a semi yesterday (January 8th).
WBAY reports that the flatbed truck slammed into the Shell gas station near the Main Street roundabout, causing significant damage to the exterior wall.
The driver reportedly suffered a medical emergency, which is what caused him to lose control and hit the building.
His status is unknown at this time, but he was able to get out of the cab without assistance.
The clerk was the only individual inside the store at the time of the crash, and they are said to have escaped the ordeal without any injuries.
The cargo on the bed of the truck ended up slamming forward into the cab, but missed the driver.
The truck was pulled out of the side of the building at around noon, and an investigation is underway as to the safety of the structure, which is nearing 85 years old.
