A competency exam is being ordered for an elderly woman accused of a Cudahy hit-and-run.
Darlene Adam allegedly ran a stop sign and hit a nine-year-old girl with her car in October, later telling police she thought she hit a rock.
The child was left with a road rash and a concussion.
The 89-year-old appeared in court yesterday, and records show officials don’t believe she is competent to move forward.
She’s due back in court next month.
