
The man charged in a 2024 Fond du Lac shooting has been convicted.
Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney has reported that a jury found 53-year-old Luis A. Guzman-Romero guilty on charges of 1st Degree Reckless Injury, Aggravated Battery, Disorderly Conduct, four counts of 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, and two counts each of Criminal Damage to Property and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
Guzman-Romero was arrested on October 20th, shortly after an individual was found with gunshot wounds in the parking lot of a business on North Main Street in Fond du Lac.
Toney praised the work of the investigators in the case and added, “Gun violence will never be tolerated in our community, and we will always work with our law enforcement partners to keep everyone in Fond du Lac County safe from gun violence, regardless of your nationality.”
