
The latest high school girls’ basketball poll includes some familiar schools.
Manitowoc Lutheran is ranked eighth in this week’s Division Four MaxPreps girls’ basketball poll.
The Lancers have survived a very difficult stretch against quality non-conference competition that included undefeated and state-ranked Oostburg, Sussex-Hamilton of Milwaukee, and the Brillion Lions.
The Lancers return to action Friday night, hosting the Hilbert Wolves at Lancer Circle. St. Mary Catholic sits atop the D-4 rankings with Howards Grove 15th, and Kewaunee ranked 22nd.
Sheboygan Lutheran is ninth in Division Five. Oostburg is number one in Division Three, with Winneconne ranked third, Denmark is 11th, Seymour is ranked 20th, and North Fond Du Lac is 24th, with both Kiel and Brillion barely outside the top 25.
Fox Valley Lutheran of Appleton is ninth in Division Two, with Xavier of Appleton 15th and West De Pere 25th.
Appleton East is the area’s top-ranked Division One team at number five. De Pere is ranked sixth, with Kimberly, Neenah, and Notre Dame of Green Bay ranked 10th through 12th, respectively.
Appleton North is 16th, Sheboygan North is 17th, and the Bay Port Pirates check in at number 19.
