A Rock County city is dropping fees to use its dog park.
The City of Beloit announced yesterday the change to an ordinance that forced people to pay to use the park, which was changed by the city council the day before.
Officials say the change removes financial barriers to using the park and makes it more accessible.
However, state and local law still requires dogs older than five months to have a dog park license, and the price of the license depends on the dog’s spay or neuter status.
