Joyce Frances (Lodel) Novachek, age 86, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026, surrounded by love and family. She lived a life defined by devotion to her family, quiet strength, and her unique touch of sass.
Above all else, Joyce was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was the proud mother of six children Neal (Linda) Novachek, Nancy (Paul) Hansen, Nick (Lisa) Novachek, Gary (Brenda) Novachek, Sue (Dan) Cortte, and Stacy (Joel) Pare. Her legacy continues through her ten grandchildren Abby (husband Deonte), Paige, Ryan, Megan (fiancé Mason), Rachel, Will, Madilynn, Jacob, Zachary, and Tessa – as well as her cherished great grandchild Dru – all of whom brought her immense joy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sisters, an infant brother, and many in-laws and friends.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Church, Two Rivers, on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Dave Pleier officiating. Burial to take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, 3801 Mishicot Rd, Two Rivers.
