A holiday tradition in the City of Sheboygan has closed out another massively successful end to the year.
Making Spirits Bright, Sheboygan’s drive-through holiday lights show at Evergreen Park, has been hosted for 14 years by the Rotary Clubs of Sheboygan County, aiming to collect food donations for those facing hunger in the community.
On Tuesday (December 30th), with just two days remaining before the event came to a close, Making Spirits Bright was still 13,000 pounds of food short of their 127,000-pound collection goal.
However, the Sheboygan community showed out in the final days of 2025 to donate 19,000 pounds of food, allowing the event to hit its collection goal and then some.
All food collected over the past two months will be donated to the Sheboygan County Food Bank, helping nourish families across the community.
Grateful for another year of massive support, Making Spirits Bright stated, “Thank you to our volunteers, donors, sponsors, and every family who showed up with generosity in their hearts. This is what community pride looks like.”
Organizers have said that planning for their 15th season in 2026 will begin again soon.
