
A Green Bay man rang in the New Year by driving intoxicated and hitting a State Trooper’s squad car.
The Wisconsin State Patrol reports that 49-year-old Jonathon Allen Jeske had deviated from his lane on I-41 southbound just after 1:00 a.m., striking the squad car.
A traffic stop was initiated near Highway 29, with the trooper noticing signs of impairment. Jeske was taken into custody and brought to a local hospital for an evidentiary blood draw.
Jeske is being held in the Brown County Jail on a charge of OWI, his 5th offense, however, additional charges of Battery to Law Enforcement, Resisting an Officer, and Hit and Run of an Occupied Vehicle are pending.
