The man who caused a scene and claimed to be God in a Southside Manitowoc neighborhood is still seeking legal representation.
37-year-old Eric Lee Engebretsen had his bail set at $150 cash by Court Commissioner Patricia Koppa as he faces charges of Violating a Harassment Restraining Order, Operating without a Valid License, and two counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
He was due for his initial appearance on December 29th, but that has been adjourned to allow Engebretsen time to work with the public defender’s office to find a lawyer.
Police were called to the intersection of South 11th and Marshal Streets on December 22nd on a report of a man parked in the street and acting strangely.
Engebretsen was behind the wheel of the car, claimed to the police that he was God, and asked if they could hear the dinosaurs.
It was also learned that he had a restraining order filed against him by an individual who lived near that location.
Engebretsen has since posted his bail and is due back in court on February 23rd.
