
Heidi Jo Schaller, age 57, an Appleton resident, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025 in St. Nazianz, following a brief battle with ALS.
She was born February 18, 1968 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Richard and Jane (Pankratz) Schaller. Heidi attended Valders High School, graduating with the class of 1986. She continued her education at LTC and University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Throughout her career, Heidi was employed with several companies, including Time Warner/Spectrum, School Specialty, Treehouse Foods, and Radue Homes. She enjoyed tending to her beautiful gardens and flowers, spending time with her cat, and having dinner and drinks with friends and family. Heidi also loved listening to music, which always brought her comfort.
Heidi is survived by her cat: Kit Kat; her siblings: Jeff (Patty) Schaller, Random Lake, Kim (Dale) Wagner, St. Nazianz, and Chris (June) Schaller, St. Nazianz; nieces and nephews: Heather (Matt) Herbst, Ted (Stephanie) Wagner, Elizabeth (Jared) Kiesow, Max (Megan) Wagner, Megan (Blade) Ramthun, Sydney (Jacob) Ditter, Amanda (Randal) Zimmel, and Jacob Schaller; great-nieces and nephews: Navy and Maverick Herbst, Crew and Lennon Kiesow, Iris and Isla Wagner, Roman and Harlan Wagner, Zoey Ditter, and Marlowe Zimmel; and her aunts and uncle: Judy Otto, Pete Pankratz, Mary Knapp, Priscilla Adams, and Delores Pankratz. She is further survived by cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Rich and Jane Schaller; her dog: Winnie; her cats; her nephew: John Schaller; as well as cousins, aunts, uncles, and other relatives.
Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory, Manitowoc, and private family services will be held. Heidi will be laid to rest with her parents at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery, Saint Nazianz.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for a donation of their choice to charitable organizations that were important to Heidi.

Also, a special thank you to Heidi’s friends and family that helped care for her and visited during her short battle, especially her sister and brother-in-law Kim and Dale, who cared for Heidi in her final days and were always by her side.
