With 2025 coming to an end today, many will be starting their New Year’s resolutions tomorrow.
It is an often-told joke that gyms will be packed with people for the next two weeks, before the inevitable giving up on the resolutions begins, but Emplify Health by Bellin has some tips for ensuring you can stick with your resolution.
Linda Golik, a Health and Wellbeing Consultant with Emplify Health by Bellin, suggests you make sure your goals are realistic and achievable.
A perfect example is losing weight.
Golik suggests looking at the food you’re eating or considering how much exercise you get on a daily basis.
Golik suggests meal prepping and adding some variety into your diet while also “trying to get in some different movements in terms of cardio, strength training, stretching, and putting 30-minute blocks on your calendar.”
But not all goals are physical.
Pledging to try a new hobby or keep a journal can also be helpful, as Golik says, “Any goals can help enrich your life.”
She added that having a goal buddy can help keep you accountable to your goals throughout the year, as well as celebrate when you’ve achieved what you set out to do.
