Wisconsin’s governor is recapping his tour of all 72 Wisconsin counties.
Governor Tony Evers made stops throughout the Badger State, including in Manitowoc, Calumet, and Sheboygan County, during the “Year of the Kid.”
Back on July 30th, Evers stopped at Cedar Crest Ice Cream in Manitowoc to meet with community leaders, labor groups, and members of the Manitowoc Public School District to discuss his policies approved in the 2025-2027 state budget.
Some of the money was allocated to support the restoration of the USS Cobia. Evers also heard about Manitowoc Public Utilities’ plans to switch to new pellets to provide power to residents.
The governor visited Calumet County twice. One was at Scoops Ice Cream House in Chilton to discuss the state’s dairy industry, and another was at Horizon’s Elementary School to highlight the “Healthy Meals, Healthy Kids” initiative.
While in Sheboygan County, Evers spoke at a roundtable with the Plymouth Project and the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation.
This month, he celebrated “Shop Small Wisconsin Season” by joining Mayor Ryan Sorenson at businesses like the Word Haven and the Above and Beyond Children’s Museum.
Wisconsin’s governor also celebrated the state’s hosting of the 2025 NFL Draft and another record-breaking year for tourism.
This is Evers’ sixth time touring all 72 counties during his time as governor.
