
A 25-year-old woman suffered “life-threatening” injuries after being shot in Calumet County on Christmas night.
Lieutenant Joseph Tenor of the Calumet County Sheriff’s office tells Seehafer news.com that deputies responded to a residence in the Hilbert Acres Mobile Home Community shortly after 9 p.m. for a report of someone receiving a gunshot wound to the head.
The unidentified victim was transported to a local hospital, where she remains at last word. A man was interviewed and released and is cooperating with investigators.
Currently, there is no danger to the community, and the names of those involved will not be released at this time.
No arrests have been made, and this remains an active investigation.
Assisting on scene were Hilbert-Potter First Responders, Gold Cross Ambulance, and the Neenah Police Department.
