Manitowoc residents became victims of scam callers.
The Manitowoc Police Department announced yesterday (December 24th) that several citizens received calls from scammers posing as department members.
MPD explains that if you believe someone who is not legitimate law enforcement has called you, you can call them at 920-686-6500.
Dispatchers can verify the caller or connect you directly with an office.
The Manitowoc Police Department is the latest department to have scammers impersonate them.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office announced on Tuesday that residents had been called by scammers impersonating their deputies.
