The City of Sheboygan is again hoping to help with the post-holiday clean-up.
The Sheboygan Christmas Tree Recycling Program will kick off on January 5th, allowing residents to dispose of their holiday trees.
The City will be offering both curbside collection and drop-off services at the Sheboygan Residential Recycling Center at 2026 New Jersey Avenue.
Those opting for roadside pickup are asked to place their Christmas trees by the curb, as no alley pickups will be made.
Residents are required to remove all ornaments, lights, and decorations from the tree, while trees in plastic bags will not be accepted.
Trees dropped off at the Recycling Center can be placed in the regular branch drop-off location. Anyone looking to get rid of holiday wreaths can do so by simply placing them with your regular curbside garbage.
All Christmas trees recycled during the program will be turned into wood chips or mulch, which will be available to all Sheboygan residents for no cost.
The Sheboygan Christmas Tree Recycling Program will run through Saturday, January 31st.
