The former Sheboygan Falls Assistant Fire Chief charged with sexually assaulting a child in Manitowoc County returned to court this week.
46-year-old John P. Albright appeared by video for his initial appearance on Monday (December 22nd), his fourth such appearance after spending the past two months searching for a lawyer to represent him.
At Monday’s hearing in front of Judge Jerilyn Dietz, Albright and his legal counsel waived the reading of the criminal complaint and demanded a preliminary hearing.
The 46-year-old has been charged with First and Second-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child for incidents that are alleged to have occurred in 1994 and 1997.
These charges came about approximately two weeks after Albright was sentenced to 13 years in prison after being found guilty of Second-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child in Sheboygan County, linked to an incident that took place in 2008.
While few details have been made available regarding his Manitowoc County charges, Albright was arrested, investigated, and ultimately convicted of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 16 in Sheboygan County.
He will next return to court on January 8th for a preliminary hearing at 2:30 p.m. in Branch 2.
